Hucklebuck – Swift Creek 25A Tract

Swift Creek, a lovely, cascading stream that winds under a wooden bridge on the Florida Trail, then dashes through Florida’s version of the Grand Canyon before emptying into the Suwannee by an imposing limestone bluff.

Directions from White Springs, FL: Follow Camp Street West from Highway 41 (Roberts Street) in downtown White Springs for 0.3 miles. Then, turn left on Osceola Street. Continue on Osceola Street, which turns into County Road 25A, for 7.6 miles. Then, turn left onto the lime rock road with a brown sign “Swift Creek 25A Tract”. You will follow it down to a T section and turn right to a dead end. You will see the Florida Trailhead on your right that will lead you to a wooden bridge crossing over the creek above. If you take a left at the T section, then take the next right you will find a riverbank access point and canoe launch.
